Diary of Regrets, a prose work published by Accessible Publishers Limited, has been approved by the National Examinations Council (NECO) for inclusion in the Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
It is one of four texts from the publisher selected for the 2028–2031 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). The others include Omo Olomo, another prose work by Agboola Ayandiran, and two dramas: Ǹdióí Ntèkáyìn (Mbè) by Gabriel Akpan and Mary Slessor by Moses Oko.
Published in 2022 and authored by Matthew Aroh, Diary of Regrets explores the consequences of negative peer influence and underscores the importance of making responsible life choices.
Reacting to NECO’s approval on social media, Aroh acknowledged the role of Accessible Publishers in bringing his work to the public and turning his dream into reality. He went on to thank the publishing house for taking a chance on his manuscript, describing the decision as a worthy investment. “I want to thank my publisher, Accessible Publishers Limited, once again for believing in my work, which has now turned out to be a good investment,” he wrote.
